Black and Yellow

Top- UO, Pants- Forever21, Watch- Michael Kors, Shoes- Payless

 I've had these pants for 5 years now and I don't think I've worn them once during the past 4. When I would wear them back in high school I would always avoid black tops because I was worried I'd be mistaken for a bumble bee. I would also avoid patterns because I felt pairing them with a patterned top would result in chaos. The boring navy shirt I would always wear with these pants is probably what led them to stay in the back of my closet for so long! As you can see here I've managed to pull off wearing black and a pattern. Moral of the story... forget your old fashion rules and try something different to revive the back of your closet!
